WEBINAR ANNOUNCEMENT: Moral Injury and Female Veterans–A Call for Community

This Webinar is focused on bringing awareness to specific issues female Veterans face as a result of their military service. Issues spotlighted are directly associated with women’s invisible wounds and morally injurious experiences that are and continue to be “unspoken” and “unaddressed” through the traditional medical models of treatment.
Learning Objectives
Following the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Understand and define moral injury
- Identify causal mechanisms for moral injury in female Veterans
- Recognize symptoms of moral injury in female Veterans
- Describe manifestations of moral injury in everyday life in female Veterans

Your Presenter
Reverend Rotunda East is a retired Air Force Combat Veteran who now serves as Chaplain with the Veterans Affairs Health Administration. She is currently a PhD Student for Marriage and Family Therapy with Military Families. In collaboration with Behavioral Health, she co-facilitates a weekly Moral Injury group, as well as provides individual therapy to veterans focusing in on maladaptive behaviors associated with moral injury.
